About Natalie Stiglitz

Dr. Natalie Stiglitz is determined and hardworking. She believes in
education, and has been making positive advancements in the field since
1997 when she first began as an accelerated history teacher.
Stiglitz graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1997 with a Masters
degree in Secondary Education, a major in History, and a minor in
Geography. Natalie Stiglitz then went on to serve as the Kentucky Social
Studies specialist at the Kentucky Department of Education. While at the
Kentucky Department of Education, Natalie Stiglitz returned to school,
this time at the University of Louisville, to earn her PhD in the
Education Leadership Organization Development with a specialization in
P-12 Administration.
Equipped with a PhD and the desire to make a difference, Dr. Stiglitz
stayed at the University of Louisville and signed on as the Co-Director of
the Nystrand Center of Excellence and as the Director of the Office of
Civic Education and Engagement. Enthusiastic and willing to work, Stiglitz
started off her two new positions with unknown fervor. Her recharged
efforts did not go unnoticed and in 2005 Dr. Stiglitz was awarded the
Civic Leadership Award. In 2006 to present, Dr. Stiglitz became the
principal investigator for over one million dollars in grant funding for
civic education, a duty which Stiglitz has continued over the years and is
still presently engaged in.
Dr. Natalie Stiglitz has become a huge asset to the University of
Louisville and she continues to repay the University for the education she
received with the outstanding quality that characterizes all of her work.
